Massage

Therapeutic massage to settle the nervous system before and after surgery.

About Massage

Surgery asks something of the whole body, and recovery gives something back to it. Our massage studio exists for the days on either side: sessions designed to settle the nervous system, ease the tension that gathers around any medical moment, and let healing happen in a body that is actually at rest.

Every session is delivered by a licensed massage therapist and shaped around you, pressure, focus, and pacing included. You do not need to be a surgical patient to book one; calm is not a members-only benefit.

What to expect

  • A brief conversation about what your body needs that day
  • A quiet, warm room designed around rest, not throughput
  • Techniques matched to your comfort, from restorative to deeper therapeutic work
  • No rush at either end of the hour

Questions, answered

Do I need to be an Aviva surgery patient to book?

No. The studio serves surgical patients and the simply-in-need-of-rest alike.

Can I have a massage right before or after eye surgery?

Often yes, many patients schedule around their procedure deliberately. Timing matters for some procedures, so mention your surgical date when you book and we will place the session where it helps most.

Who provides the massage?

Licensed massage therapists working within the standards of the rest of the practice, the surgical suite sets the bar for everything under this roof.
