Accessibility Statement
Aviva is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, or keyboard-only navigation.
Our Approach
We design and test this site against WCAG 2.1, Level AA (the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) as our target standard. This is a goal we build toward, it is not a certified or independently audited conformance claim.
What We’ve Built In
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, including the Procedures, Eye Care, and Wellness dropdown menus
- Support for reduced-motion browser and OS settings, visitors who prefer reduced motion see this site with scroll and hover animation turned off
- Descriptive alt text on content images
- Sufficient color contrast on text and interactive elements
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure
- Accordion-style FAQ answers that stay in the page’s markup and work with the keyboard, not just a mouse
Known Limitations
We’re aware of some gaps we’re still working through:
- On mobile, the navigation menu currently links only to each section’s main page (Procedures, Eye Care, Wellness), individual procedure and service pages aren’t yet reachable from the mobile menu itself, only from within those section pages.
- Our online booking and scheduling tools are still in progress; some interim pages describe features that aren’t live yet.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility isn’t a one-time project for us. We continue to test this site, including a dedicated accessibility pass before public launch, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Feedback
If you use assistive technology and run into a barrier on this site, please let us know through our Contact page. Tell us the page you were on and what happened, and we’ll do our best to address it.
