Privacy Policy
Aviva (“Aviva,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only, it does not describe how we handle protected health information for patients under our clinical care, which is governed separately under HIPAA and our office’s Notice of Privacy Practices.
Information We Collect
We collect two kinds of information through this website:
- Information you provide directly, for example, your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, area of interest, and any message you choose to send us through a contact form.
- Information collected automatically, general analytics data about how visitors use this site, such as which pages are viewed and which buttons or links are clicked.
How We Use Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this website, so we can improve it. Google Analytics tracks page views, button clicks (like “Book a Consultation”), and similar usage counts. We do not send the content of any form you fill out, or any other information that could identify you as a patient, to Google Analytics, only anonymous counts of pages viewed and buttons clicked.
Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on.
What We Don’t Collect Through This Website
This website does not request or store detailed medical history, diagnoses, treatment information, or other protected health information. If you become a patient, that information is collected and protected separately, through our office’s clinical intake process, not through this website.
How We Use Information You Provide
If you send us a message, we use the information you provide only to respond to your inquiry and, if you ask us to, to follow up about scheduling an appointment. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-Party Links and Services
This site may link to third-party services, such as an online scheduling tool once one is available. Those services have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site or tool you use.
Data Retention and Security
We keep the information you send us only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or, if you become a patient, as required by our clinical recordkeeping obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, or the law change. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
